Weapons are one of the primary aspects of Murder Mystery 2, which are used to eliminate players. The two main kinds of weapons are the knife and the gun. Each of these are used by the roles within the game.
Weapons[]
Knives[]
Knives are melee weapons used by the Murderer or Assassin. They are used to eliminate a target or a victim by either throwing the knife or using it directly. Although some weapons are not actually knives, such as Saw, Candy, Battle Axe, Pixel, Spider, Clockwork, and, others they are still considered knives or melee weapons.

Guns[]
Guns are projectile-based weapons used by the Sheriff to eliminate the Murderer. However, if the Sheriff has died, an Innocent can pick up the fallen Sheriff's gun to shoot the Murderer and become a Hero.
Purpose[]
Throughout Murder Mystery's history, guns have been a vital tool and have been present in all gamemodes except for Assassin since the start of Murder Mystery 1. Guns, with the exception of time, have been the only way for the Innocents to survive and win a round, giving them heavy importance for the game.
Mechanics[]
In order to use guns, the player must hold it out in their hand and click (or tap) at the desired target. Doing as previously mentioned will result in a trail being created from the gun to the clicked point as well as the sound effect of a shooting revolver and a reloading sound effect to be played.
If the Sheriff shoots an Innocent, both the Sheriff and the Innocent will die, but if the Sheriff shoots the Murderer, confetti will emerge from the deceased murderer's body and victory will be declared for the Sheriff and Innocents. If the Sheriff dies, their gun will float over the spot where they died with a green particle effect emanating from the gun, which indicates that it can be picked up. Innocents can then proceed to run to where the gun is hovering and stand on it to pick it up. The gun will then appear as it would if they were the Sheriff.
Ways to Obtain[]
There are many different weapons that can be obtained, such as unboxing boxes, which cost 1,000 coins ,a key (which can you buy for 125 gems), or 100 gems. In addition, the player could obtain new weapons through crafting from salvaged weapons or by unboxing them during a holiday event. Also, the player is able to trade away weapons with other players for new more desirable weapons.
The player is also able to obtain limited unique weapons from events if they are in the top 100 on a leaderboard.
Weapon Tiers[]
Each knife or gun has a different value, the weapon generally becomes more valuable depending on how high its tier is. However, this is not always the case. Very rare non-godlies can outvalue some godlies (depending on how rare the knife is). High-value knives (or knives with value in general) below godly tier are called "collectibles." These collectibles can be several times more rare than godlies.
Holiday Weapons[]
Holiday weapons are on a different page of the inventory from classic and season 1 weapons. holiday weapons are weapons that can be obtained at Christmas and Halloween. they are usually worth more than classic or season 1 weapons due to them only being obtainable for a limited time.
