The Valentines Event 2023 was a minor event that commenced on February 2nd, 2023 and concluded on March 23rd, 2023. Many new Valentines Day themed weapons were introduced in the shop, alongside a new bundle, a new pet, and a new form of currency. This was the final Murder Mystery 2 Valentines Event before the discontinuation of this type of event.
Overview[]
Four knives of varying rarities and a pet were introduced during this event. Each could be obtained by claiming a set amount of hearts 
. Hearts could not be purchased, meaning that the only way to obtain such hearts was by collecting them during rounds. However, hearts spawned alongside coins which meant that coins 
and hearts added to the coin bag together.

Sakura Bundle[]
The Sakura Bundle was the annual limited-time offer for the event. Purchasing the whole bundle costed 3,399 Robux, which gave players the godly knife Sakura, the godly gun Blossom, and the exclusive Petals effect. The Sakura Gamepass and the Blossom Gamepass could’ve been purchased separately for 1,699 Robux each, but didn’t include the exclusive effect.

- It is the first non-Halloween or Christmas event since 2016.
- JD teased the release of this event by leaking the Sakura Bundle in one of their videos.

- The release of this event caused the Plasma Bundle and the Icecrusher Gamepass to go offsale and the removal of the 2022 Christmas Event button.
- It is the first event to introduce a new form of currency since the Christmas Event 2016. All other events that came after the Christmas Event 2016 either used candies or snow tokens.
- This was the last Valentines Event we’ve seen in Murder Mystery 2.
