Summer Event 2024

The Summer Event 2024 was a minor event that started on July 5th, 2024 and ended on October 16th, 2024. This event introduced four new godlies, including a limited time bundle, a new box, a new map and a new battle pass along with it, as well as the return of Beach Balls .

Overview

During this event, the main way players could have earned unique rewards was by collecting a set amount of Beach Balls (6,000 to complete the battle pass). In total, seven knives and eight guns of varying rarities, two exclusive effects, and three toys had been introduced. Each item could have been obtained by claiming a set amount of beach balls, or simply through trading (excluding the exclusive effects and toys). Beach Balls could not be purchased, meaning that the only way to obtain beach balls was by collecting them during rounds. This time, although beach balls still spawned alongside coins, they could have been collected in their separate bag, with the limit being 20 beach balls, making them much easier to obtain.

Rewards

For the rewards below, a player had to collect the set amount of beach balls to obtain each reward, with each reward progressively demanding more beach balls . In order to complete the entire event and obtain all items, a player needed to collect 6,000 beach balls, which equals to around 300 rounds of obtaining only beach balls with a full beach ball bag (20 per match).

Mystery Box

The 2024 Summer Box was the annual box that was introduced during the event. It could have been opened by paying 400 Beach Balls or 1 Summer Key .

Maps

During the event the new map Beach Resort was added. The map is fairly large, featuring an outdoor pool and 2 large floors and resembling a beach pool resort, hence the name.

Pearls Bundle

Pearls Bundle Gamepass

The Pearls Bundle was the annual limited-time offer for the event. Purchasing the whole bundle costed 3,399 Robux, which gave players the godly knife Pearl, the godly gun Pearlshine, and the exclusive Glisten effect. The weapons could have been purchased separately for 1,699 Robux each, but the exclusive effect was not included.

Trivia

• This was the second summer event in Murder Mystery 2, the last one was in 2023.
• This is the first minor event to include a chroma weapon.
• This is the first minor event, and first event that wasn't Christmas or Halloween to receive an exclusive map, and an exclusive weapon box.
• This was the longest event in MM2 history, lasting 103 days and ending on October 16th, 2024.
• During this event, MM2 reached a new (current) CCU peak of 339,383 users.
