Summer Event 2023

The Summer Event 2023 was a minor event that began on July 4th, 2023 and ended on October 10th, 2023. Many new Summer-themed rewards were introduced to the game, along with a new limited time bundle, a new lobby, and a new form of currency.

During this event, the main way players could earn unique rewards is by collecting a set amount of Beach Balls . In total, six knives and four guns of varying rarities, two exclusive effects, and a toy were introduced. Each could be obtained by claiming a set amount of beach balls, or simply through trading (excluding the exclusive effects and toy). Beach Balls could not be purchased, meaning that the only way to obtain such beach balls was by collecting them during rounds. However, beach balls spawned alongside coins, meaning that coins and beach balls added to the coin bag together.

Rewards

For the rewards below, a player had to collect the set amount of beach balls to obtain each reward, with each reward progressively demanding more beach balls . In order to complete the entire event and obtain all items, a player needed to collect 13,200 beach balls, which equals to 330 rounds of obtaining only beach balls with a full bag or only 264 rounds if the player had purchased Elite Gamepass.

Ocean Bundle

The Ocean Bundle was the annual limited-time offer for the event. Purchasing the whole bundle costed 3,399 Robux, which gave players the godly knife Waves, the godly gun Ocean, and the exclusive effect Flow. The Waves Gamepass and the Ocean Gamepass could be purchased separately for 1,699 Robux each, but didn't include the exclusive effect.

Trivia

• This was the first ever summer event in Murder Mystery 2 history.
• In the release of this update, the Amazon Prime Gaming promotion was replaced with the normal code redeem button.
• This event succeeded the Easter Event 2023.
• All rewards introduced during this event were designed by IDontHaveAUse.
