Hero is a non-chosen role in Murder Mystery 2. Their role initially as an Innocent is to pick up the killed Sheriff's and previous Hero's gun, and then work with the other Innocents to find out who the Murderer is and successfully shoot them before the round ends.

Trivia[]
- There can be as many Heros as there are Innocents.
- The Hero and Sheriff cannot be on the map at the same time. The Sheriff has to die in order for an Innocent to become a Hero.
- If a Sheriff resets or dies by any means at the beginning 10 seconds of the game, the dropped gun can be picked up and used before the 10-second cooldown is over.
- There is a glitch in which if both the Murderer gets shot and the Hero gets stabbed/a knife thrown at them at the same time, it will reveal the results, but both player icons in the results will be marked with an X. At the moment, it is unknown who wins if this situation occurs.
- If a Hero shoots an Innocent, both of them will die.
- If a Hero leaves the game, the weapon will be lost and the Murderer can't get shot. This gives the Murderer an advantage.
- If a Hero successfully shoots the Murderer, it doesn’t count towards their Sheriff victories.
- It is commonly believed that the Hero win theme is from a song called "I Respect You". This is not true.
- The win theme for the Hero was made in GarageBand.
- It was made with the Above and Beyond Synth, and Almost Electro Beat.
