The Halloween Event 2023 was an event that began on October 17th, 2023 and ended on November 21, 2023. During the event, players had access to the Battle Pass, a new limited time Mystery Box, the Leaderboard, the new lobby, inside of which is the 'Mystery Manor' voting area, a special bonus round, four Halloween themed maps (alongside decorations in other maps), and a new gamepass bundle. Two godly guns, a chroma gun, and an ancient knife were introduced in the event, as well as many new Halloween themed weapons. Unlike previous Halloween events, Candies spawn alongside Coins as the currency for this event.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass during this event consists of 30 tiers, all of which, in the exception of the first tier and the 30th tier, cost 300 Candies . The first tier is free, and the final tier can be purchased for a total of 30,000 Candies in exchange for the ancient knife Traveler's Axe.

Mystery Box

The 2023 Halloween Box is this year’s mystery box, and can only be opened during the event. It works similarly to a regular Knife Box, as both have the same number of rarities and a secret godly knife inside. To open it, players have to spend 300 Candies or 1 Traveler Key .

Maps

During the event, no new maps were introduced. Instead, four old maps were brought back, those being Manor, Farmhouse, Barn, and Mineshaft. Many other maps in the game have also been decorated in Halloween attire to suit the event. Exclusively in the Barn map, the Infection bonus round was brought back as well.

Leaderboard

Every annual Halloween event in Murder Mystery 2 has a special leaderboard that a maximum of one hundred players could get onto by collecting Candies . Purchasing Candies does not count towards the leaderboard, meaning that players can only obtain such Candies by collecting them during rounds. However, this year Coins spawn alongside Candies , with Candies spawning less frequently than Coins, making it difficult to efficiently collect Candies . The leaderboard lasted for thirteen days from the day of the release, October 17th, 2023, to October 30th, 2023. Each player on the leaderboard earned a unique weapon depending on their rank. First place earned Gold Traveler's Axe, second place earned Silver Traveler's Axe, third place earned Bronze Traveler's Axe, and every player on the leaderboard, including the top three, earned Red Traveler's Axe.

Darkness Bundle

Darkness Bundle Gamepass

The Darkness Bundle is the annual limited-time offer for the event. Purchasing the whole bundle costs 3,399 Robux, which gives players the godly knife Darksword, the godly gun Darkshot, and also the exclusive Darkswirl effect. The Darksword and Darkshot can be purchased separately for 1,699 Robux, but the exclusive effect is not included.

Ghoulish Knife

Ghoulish Knife

The Ghoulish knife was an exclusive knife that players were able to obtain by owning the Mask of Ghoulish Despair item on Roblox for 40 Robux and then join Murder Mystery 2. Players could’ve only completed this offer once and only once during the event. Like SharkSeeker and Dartbringer, you must own the Roblox item in order to be given the knife. However, unlike Sharkseeker and Dartbringer, this item is tradable. This offer was available until November 3rd, 2023 and has since been removed.
