Disguises, formerly known as "Hardcore", is a gamemode in Murder Mystery 2 that is based off the sandbox game Garry's Mod Murder Mode. It is also similar to the original Murder Mystery's gameplay aspects.
Gameplay[]
Players are disguised by receiving different names based off of the NATO Phonetic Alphabet during rounds. Players’ avatars during rounds are also altered to appear similar to ensure that nobody knows who is who. It works similarly to the Standard gamemode, with one player receiving the Murderer role, another player receiving the Sheriff role, and the remaining players receiving the Innocent role. Radios and Pets are not allowed, however, players can play Emotes.

- Disguises was the first and only gamemode in Murder Mystery 2 until Standard was introduced.
- Hardcore was renamed to Disguises on July 23rd, 2023.
- Before the Summer Event 2024 update, players were locked in first person camera mode, meaning that they could not zoom out
