Coins are a form of currency used to buy items in the shop such as boxes, effects, and pets. Coins spawn on the map for players to collect. The maximum amount that can be collected each round is 40. However, players that have purchased the Elite Gamepass can collect up to 50 coins.

Trivia

• The image for the old Coin has reappeared in post-Season 1 events in the Token/Candy Exchange, despite being replaced by its new counterpart icon .
• These were not the original form of currency. The original form of currency were called Points, which could not be collected in game.
• Players were only allowed up to a maximum of 10 to 15 Coins per round prior to the Season 1 update. Many prices in the shop, like box prices, were lower due to the amount of coins that were possible to get (with the exception of some boxes being removed, like the Legendary Box).
  • In hardcore, coins are gray.
• In the early stages of Murder Mystery 2, these were referred to as credits.
• Before Season 1, players could’ve purchased coins for Robux. There is an example in the gallery.
