Christmas Event 2024

The Christmas Event 2024 was an event that commenced on December 20th, 2024, and concluded on February 1st, 2025. Upon joining Murder Mystery 2, players were greeted with a new Christmas-themed lobby designed by Zyleak and a toy-store-styled voting room.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass during this event consists of 20 tiers, all of which, with the exception of the first tier, cost 800 Snow Tokens . The first tier is free, and after unlocking the final tier, you can purchase the ancient knife Celestial for 98,000 Snow Tokens .

Mystery Box

During the event, there is a new Mystery Box available to be opened called the 2024 Christmas Box. To open it, players need to turn in 800 Snow Tokens or 1 Snow Key .

Gifting Center

The gifting center was where Gifts could be purchased for 800 Snow Tokens.

These Gifts could only be opened by other players. Inside the Gift was a random item from any Mystery Box. Giving 100 Gifts would reward the player with Bauble—this could be done multiple times. There is also a 1 in 50 chance of receiving its rarer counterpart: the Chroma Bauble.

During the event, the map Christmas In Italy, designed by Zyleak, was introduced for the first time. Four old maps from previous Christmas events made a return, those being Ski Lodge, Log Cabin, Train Station and Ice Castle. The only map that was not available in this event was Workshop.

Exchange

In the shop, players are given the option to exchange 100 Snow Tokens for 100 Coins . However, Coins cannot be changed for Snow Tokens. Players can do this as many times as they wish.

Gamepasses

The Australis & Borealis Bundle is the annual limited time offer for the event. Purchasing the whole bundle costs 3,399 Robux, which gives players the godly knife Australis, the godly gun Borealis, and the bundle-exclusive Aurora Lights effect. The Australis and Borealis can be purchased separately for 1,699 Robux, but the Aurora Lights effect is not included.

Trophies

Every annual Christmas event from the 2019 Christmas Event onward had two separate leaderboards; one for Token-Collecting and one for Gift-Giving . Purchasing snow tokens did not count towards the Token-Collecting leaderboard, meaning that players could only obtain such snow tokens by collecting them during rounds. The leaderboard was paused for Christmas and resumed on 27 December 2023.

Trivia

• This is the tenth annual Christmas event to occur.
• This is the sixth time where the gifting center was brought back into the game.
• This is the third event where the last item in the battlepass remains at 98,000 Snow Tokens, since Celestial's release.
• This is one of the first events in a while to not receive a lot of leaks.
• This is the first Christmas event since 2021 to have a godly bundle on sale.
• This event’s leaderboard had a glitch, where Snow Tokens collected during its paused period were counted when it was resumed.
• This event was one of the first in a long time to see new players in all top three spots for both Tokens and Gifts leaderboards.
