Christmas Event 2015

The Christmas Event 2015 was an event in Murder Mystery 2 that started on December 14th, 2015 as a pre-release. It was then officially released on December 19th, 2015, as a full event. The event officially concluded on January 8th, 2016, with the old lobby being replaced by the Winter theme version of it.

This event consisted of collecting Gifts and obtaining exclusive weapons from them. When joining Murder Mystery 2 during this event, the lobby took a festive theme with snow, elves, gifts, candy canes, Santas and snowflakes falling from above. Near the voting room was a large billboard with "Take part in the new Christmas event and earn awesome rewards!" written on it, along with a green "Click Here" button below it. Upon clicking the green button on the billboard, players would be redirected to the interactive event GUI that consisted of three separate tabs; Crates, Weapons, and Elite.

Under the Crates tab was the 2015 Christmas Knife Box and the 2015 Christmas Gun Box, both available to be opened for 30 Gifts . Under the Weapons tab only had one knife displayed; the godly knife Xmas available for purchase for 75 Gifts . Under the Elite tab was a limited time offer to purchase the Elite Gamepass to earn the legendary knife Green Elite, which provided an additional perk, that being the ability to collect 10 Gifts instead of 5 during rounds. The Elite offer expired after Christmas.

Unlike any future event, there were two separate crates available during this event, those being the 2015 Christmas Knife Box and the 2015 Christmas Gun Box. Each crate contained their own specific type of weapon respectively with varying rarities, along with a secret godly inside. Both crates individually costed players 30 Gifts to open.

Weapons

Within the event’s interactive GUI under the "Weapons" tab was the godly knife Xmas displayed, available for purchase for 75 Gifts . After purchasing, Xmas could immediately be found in the player’s inventory. Players could purchase Xmas as many times as they wished.

Elite

• The Elite offer during the event.
• Where players would be redirected to if they clicked ”Learn More".

As a way to encourage players to purchase the Elite Gamepass, a special, limited time offer was introduced. If players purchased the Elite Gamepass prior to Christmas, they would receive all the perks that came with Elite, an Elite knife, Elite-ify effect, Elite Radio, Elitey pet, along with the Green Elite knife. Players would also be able to collect 10 Gifts instead of 5 as an additional perk.

Recipes

During this event, there were four limited time, separate recipes available to be crafted. Each recipe would produce a different godly weapon, the possible outcomes being Chill, Handsaw, Red Luger, and Green Luger. To find such recipes, players had to click the "Crafting" tab found in their inventory. However, after the conclusion of the event, all of the following recipes were removed from the game, and the weapons can now only be obtained through trading.

Exchange

During the event, players were given the option to exchange 10 Coins for 1 Gift , or exchange 1 Gift for 2 Coins . Players could access the exchange option by clicking the ”Get more!" button. Exchanging could be done until the end of the event.

Trivia

• This is the first ever Christmas event to take place in Murder Mystery 2.
• Both crates available during this event used to cost 75 Gifts to open, but was reduced to 30 Gifts after the pre-release.
• Nikilis announced the update's release back in December 2015 on his twitter account, the twitter post can be found here.
• This was the first event to implement craftable recipes into the game.
• This is currently the event with the most godlies being introduced, making a total of seven godlies.
• Allegedly, glitch2 was introduced in this event as a black luger, but was subsequently transformed into a glitch knife after being duped and magically reappeared some years later.
